Folkes Architects was established in 2002 by
Mark & Antoinette Folkes
It is our aim to ensure that we provide a high standard of design and professional service to each of our clients by maintaining personal involvement at every level, throughout the course of a project.
Mark Folkes
Mark has always had an interest in buildings. From an early age he had a keen interst in Art and was surrounded with family who were in the building industry. "When I was younger I spent most of my school holidays working on building sites, as a result I think I have the edge when it comes to taking a practical approach to design and working out complex design solutions, something that not all architects have."
Mark studied at the Hull School of Architecture after which he worked with Shepherd Design working on large scale commercial projects and a highly specialised pathologhy unit project for the Animal Health Trust . Mark then worked for leading architect Jane Duncan, now the Vice President (practice) RIBA.
He founded Folkes Architects with his wife, Antoinette in 2002
